Freedoms Stormy Night- Stormy SOLD
Stormy is a 14h registered welsh/arab cross gelding born in 2007 out of Rosie and Freedom. Stormy is still in training to fully perfect his skills, and has had two light show seasons. Under saddle Stormy is balanced and easy with smooth gaits and goes on a loose rein. Showing comfortably at 2'6 and has schooled as high as 3'3" with an adult rider! He is becoming confident to fences and really enjoys his job. Stormy is always in the ribbons at shows and is currently showing the SWVHJA circuit with a junior rider for the 2013 season. Stormys first show season was a success, placing 2nd-4th in all divisions including jumpers, hunters, pleasure, dressage, and a horse trial. Stormy was shown in a horse trial with a rider who has never competed in eventing and had only ridden him four times and they placed 2nd, but were only one point away from first! Stormy also placed 2nd in a Dressage show where the judge commented on his lovely movement and said he had a lot of potential in the future! This pony is made for the show ring and always brings his A game! He doesn't act his age and is very mature and handles pressure well. He has a great personality and desire to care for his rider. Stormy gives to the bit and is very supple in the neck and poll. Stormy has smooth easy gaits and whoas and turns off of leg and seat alone! Stormy needs an intermediate rider with a soft nature to match his soft, easy, and sensitive personality, but has proven himself as a good walk/trot lesson pony for beginners. Stormy spent February-September in a lesson program, three days a week, and showing in the SWVHJA circuit lightly with a junior rider. He is ready for a full show season in 2014 after many great outings and needs the next rider to take him there. Stormy will continue in his training undersaddle and start with a new rider for the rest of the season until being sold, price will increase as his training/showing increases. This pony has extreme potential as a show prospect and Meagan is looking forward to showing him more after his great outtings! More Videos and Pictures on the Photos page. If interested call Vernon or email [email protected] and put Stormy in the subject. Priced at $8000 OBO

Moon-Freedoms Crescent Moon
Moon is out of Anika and Freedom. Born in 2008 13.2h chestnut with a disconnected star and stripe. Moon is a cute little thing who started his training in Spring 2012. Moon didnt have much handling in his few years but has a very curious nature, which is good for training, and quite a lot of spunk and personality. Moon was put through a jump chute and impressed us all by jumping 4' in perfect form and clearing it easily! He is a very natural jumper and knows how to use himself. Moon has a very sweet personality, just needs to be introduced to different stimuli and gain some confidence around new situations. He is taking to training well and progressing nicely with his new owner Lori. Moon was purchased in January of 2013 and has made the move to NC after 30 days with Meagan. He is nervous and worried but improves quickly when handled regularly and properly. Lori is having a lot of fun working with him and watching him grow. They do a lot of desensitizing and started riding in March. Things are being taken slow with him to allow him to really think things through and he is flourishing under his new care! The hope is for him to make it to Training level, which none of us think is a problem!! We love hearing regular updates on his progress and we cant wait to hear about him in the show ring! He is such a spectacular little pony with a lot of try-a characteristic that seems to come from his stallions lines.
Moon sold to an eventer in North Carolina and unfortunately they weren't the match she was looking for. He then Sold to a hunter farm, where he really started to shine in childrens hunters, and then was resold to a top of the line hunter barn in California!

Fairah Val
Fairah Val was a 2000 15.1h Egyptian Arabian mare that was bred and raised at NRAS and later purchased and trained by Meagan before being sold to her new forever home. Fairah had a very sensible nature, with smooth easy gaits which made her great to learn on and was occasionally used for lessons even though she had only been under saddle for about 8 months (with a lot of time off all throughout her training) before being sold. She was sensitive but not reactive and really enjoyed working. Fairah went w/t/c and was jumping up to 2' under saddle. She was a willing partner with a desire to please, very smooth floating gaits, and is very soft in the bridle but went best in a rope halter. Fairah could be easily ridden in the ring, in an open field, bareback, and also did hacks down the road. Not spookey at all, very relaxed under saddle. Fairah would load, tie, bathe, and was perfect for the farrier.
Fairah was sold of Ann Carol of Lexington, Virginia and is now used as a loving pasture pet as well as trail horse. Ann Carol is in her 70's and was looking for a calm, loving, and smooth mount and is really enjoying "Fairah Faucett" as she calls her. Fairah couldnt have found a better home! Best of luck to the both of them, and many years of pleasure together.

Cody-Colour me a Teddy (344279)
Cody is a registered sorrel overo mare born in 1996. Cody is a very calm and gentle mare with great Quarter horse bloodlines including Poco Bueno, Sonny Dee, and Three Jets. Cody was actually given to Vernon in her prime because she had an injury that has left her crippled. The injury is unknown to Vernon, but Cody still acts like a normal horse, trotting through the field, but can no longer be ridden.
Cody was recently rehomed in May 2013 to a small farm down the road where she will live out the rest of her years along side her foal, Blaze, who she had with Freedom back in 2007!

Shasta Rand (0580788)
Shasta is a beautiful Arabian born in 2000. Shasta is bay with a left hind stocking and an oddly shaped large star and two different snip markings. A full sister to Annika, they both share a great pedigree. Shasta was supposed to be used as a broodmare but because of the market she has never been bred. Lauren was starting to train Shasta before suddenly having to move out of state. Like her sister, Fairah, she was doing wonderfully in training and progressing very quickly. She hasnt been backed yet, but Meagan is hoping to put some time in and get her under saddle. Shasta has good conformation and beautiful movement, shes very athletically built and graceful. She shows A LOT of talent over fences and enjoyed round penning over jumps and has very good form! Maybe shell be the next Arab hunter!
